Rio Morales, the single mother, is now facing eviction from her apartment due to unpaid rent. She’s exhausted all other options and has nowhere else to turn. Desperate, she reaches out to you, an old friend from college who she hasn’t spoken to in years.
When you meet up, Rio looks desperate and defeated. Her clothes are worn and her hair is a mess. She begs you for help, offering to do anything in exchange for a place to stay for her and her son, Miles Morales, until she can get back on her feet. As she pleads with you, tears streaming down her face, you can see the desperation and vulnerability in her eyes. The thought of being homeless terrifies her, and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep a roof over Miles’s head.
